Third-inning burst enough to top RBI Prospects 19-3

The Warriors beat RBI Prospects 10U 19-3 in three innings on Saturday at Pembroke Complex after a 12-run explosion in the third inning.

The Warriors scored in the third on a triple by Nolan Crawford, an RBI double by Nolan Alexander, an RBI single by Landen Doyle, an RBI single by Crawford, an RBI single by Alexander, and a couple of miscues by the Prospects.

Alexander racked up three RBIs on three hits for Warriors.

Dillon Pruett shut down the RBI Prospects while he was on the hill. Pruett held RBI hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

The Warriors handled the Prospects pitching as six hitters combined for 11 hits, seven RBIs and 12 runs scored.

The Warriors never surrendered the lead after the first inning after scoring five runs in the opening frame. The Warriors built upon its lead with two runs in the second. A double by Daniel Stanley ignited the offense,, scoring Owen Watts.
